For nearly three decades, I wore a law enforcement badge.
It was a career filled with responsibility, long hours, difficult calls, friendships, sacrifice, and the privilege of serving others. Law enforcement became more than what I did for a living. For many years, it was a large part of who I was.
Then came retirement.
Like many first responders, I discovered that walking away from the job was only the beginning. The harder question was figuring out what came next.
For me, the answer was waiting on the waters of Tampa Bay.
I traded my badge for a captain’s license, California for Florida, and patrol work for a completely different kind of service. What began as a retirement dream eventually became Five O’Clock Charlie Boat Tours & Charters.
That journey became the inspiration for my upcoming book:
